On Saturday I went to see my cousin, Dharma who is three months younger than me. It was fun to spend the day with her. I sat in her highchair to have my lunch as she had already had hers and was having her afternoon nap! I did my best to try and wake her with my squeals of excitement but she seems to be a very good sleeper and ignored me! I enjoyed playing with her toys and mummy says that I was a bit naughty because I grabbed one of Dharma's toys out of her hand when we were both sat on the sofa! It will be so much fun when we can both run around and play games together!

Father's Day on Grandad's Boat
On Sunday it was Father's Day. It was my Daddy's very first Father's Day. I gave him a card and a big Toblerone and mummy helped me make breakfast in bed for him! We then got ready to go out for the day to Grandad's narrow boat. It was a lovely warm day and we went out for a walk and stopped off at the local pub for a drink before we went back to the boat for lunch.

Our Holiday in Cornwall
We had a lovely week in Cornwall. I went to the beach; on coastal walks (I went in a rucksack on daddy's back!); a country park and visited some towns - Truro, St.Ives, Helston, and Newquay. The first beach I went to was Fistral Beach in Newquay. My great Aunty Vicky, Uncle James and Aunty Sam went surfing while me, mummy and daddy stayed on the beach and played in the sand. I loved the feel of the sand between my fingers and on my feet and I tried not to put it in my mouth as mummy told me not to! I'm looking forward to next year when I will be walking so I'll be able to run along the sand and paddle in the sea! We also went to the beach at Perranporth where Uncle James built some sand castles for me - next year I will make my own!
We stayed in a lovely cottage which had a swimming pool. I went in it twice but it was too chilly for me to stay in long even though I did have my wetsuit on! I had my own cot and high chair while I stayed there and there was even a playroom with a TV and videos and I went in there to watch one of favourite shows the Teletubbies in the morning (my favourite bit is the baby in the sun - he always makes me giggle!). There was also some cows and calves in the field next to our cottage and it was fun to watch the mummy cows drinking water out of an old bath and the calves were drinking milk from their mummies.
While on holiday in Cornwall I cut my seventh tooth and I learnt to wave! When mummy or daddy wave at me and say hello I can now wave back at them! I'm learning to do it to all my family and friends now. I've started to copy mummy and daddy more and more now - like when they stick out their tongue I stick mine out at them, and when daddy turns his head to one side I can turn mine too! I also recognise my name and respond if mummy or daddy call me Finn, Finny or Fintan (if I'm naughty!), and mummy says that I should recognise the word 'No' by now - and I sort of do, but sometimes I don't!

A Very Sad Day
Today was a very sad day for me, mummy and daddy. This morning our girl cat, Tilly, was run over by the dust cart. It was too late to save her and mummy says she has gone to heaven. Daddy has buried her at the top of the garden. She was a lovely-natured cat and she was beautiful (everyone used to comment on how pretty she was) and we will all miss her very much - especially her brother, Thomas. He is now sitting at her graveside grieving for her(see last pic.) and it is so sad as there is nothing we can do to bring her back.
This afternoon we had some more bad news. Our rabbit, Zac was lying in his run not moving. So mummy rang daddy to come home from work again and we rushed down to the vets with Zac. He was a very old rabbit - 9 years old this summer and he had bad arthritis in his back legs so he couldn't stand up very well. The vet said that it was best that we have him put down, so that's what we did and then we brought him back to our garden to bury him next to Tilly. We then went down to the florists and got a flower reath to put on the graves and said goodbye to our pets.
Goodbye and God Bless You Matilda and Zachariah, we love you and will miss you very much, forever in our thoughts, Mummy, Daddy, Finn and Thomas xxxx.
Get Well Soon Dharma!
I just wanted to say a few words of best wishes to my cousin, Dharma, who was very ill last week and had to stay in hospital for a few days. I was on holiday in Cornwall so I wasn't able to go and visit her. She is better now and her mummy said she is enjoying her food again so I'm really pleased. I hope to go and visit her this weekend to cheer her up!
